"Home ownership is the cornerstone of a strong community." - Rick Renzi
What We Build
Sumter Habitat for Humanity homes are built in neighborhoods throughout Sumter County, alongside other professionally built and sold homes. In the last few years, we have developed our own subdivision, Fuller Gardens, located at the intersection of East Red Bay and Boulevard Roads, that will house 54 new Habitat homes when completed! Our houses are designed to take on the look and feel of their neighborhoods. They vary in design and size depending on the community and the family's needs.
The average home consists of three bedrooms with approximately 1000 to 1200 square feet of living space. Future homeowners select interior features such as carpet, cabinets and counter tops. All homes are professionally supervised and built to ensure high quality and consistency.
Sumter Habitat provides a purchase program for Whirlpool washers and dryers. Whirlpool donates an Energy Star certified® refrigerator and stove to every Habitat home built in North America.
