Work alongside our team and homeowners! Specific work depends on where we are in the building stage. But no experience is ever needed!
This is a great way to learn new skills.

Opportunites to be a part of our retail team! Sort donated products, price items, move and merchandise product on our salesfloor, clean, and more!
Outreach
Your smiling face and warm personality can make a differnece at our outreach opportunities and events!

Occasionally we have opportunites to assist our admin team with mailings, computer tasks, and more!

Looking for a meaningful way to serve together?
Sumter Habitat for Humanity welcomes corporate teams, churches, civic groups, schools, and community organizations!
Group volunteer opportunities require advance coordination. Please contact our Director of Development, Communications & Volunteers to discuss available dates, volunteer opportunities, group size, and the scheduling process.
We’ll work with you to find an opportunity that fits your group while making a meaningful impact for families in our community.
Ready to get started?

2. Digitally sign your waiver and read the volunteer handbook.
3. Complete orientation.
ReStore, events, & office volunteers will be in-person before you begin.
Construction volunteers will complete orientation on their first day.
4. Construction volunteers will have their accounts verified for
completion by our staff after background checks, waivers, etc are done.
5. Once your account is verified and/or orientation is done,
your account will be made active.
6. Sign up for any times you are available to be with us!
7. Volunteer and know that you've made a difference in
making Sumter a better place for everyone by providing
safe, affordable housing!

YOUTH BUILD
Do you have teens who are looking to get started in community work? That's fantastic! We love working with youth.
*Volunteers must be 16 and older and need to be accompanied by an adult 25 or older.
