Donations of Building Materials and Subcontractor Services Sumter Habitat is always looking for NEW building materials. Used building materials can be donated to our ReStore where they will be sold to the public to generate funding for Habitat houses. In addition, professional services are required on Habitat work sites for masonry, HVAC installation, electrical wiring, plumbing and other services. Sumter Habitat project sponsors can receive credit toward their sponsorship fee by soliciting in-kind donations for materials or subcontractor services typically purchased by Sumter Habitat. Donations of Non-Construction Services The business of building and selling homes requires professional skills that are often generously offered by local donors. Lawyers, accountants, graphic designers, marketing specialists, interior designers and financial counselors have all contributed their time and resources to help us pursue the Habitat mission of eliminating substandard housing. Stock Transfers

Other

Gifts of Land

Donations of buildable land are welcome and can have an immediate and direct impact on our ability to build in Sumter County.  If you have clear title to a lot that you are considering donating please contact Derek Burress at derek@habitatsumter.org or call (803) 775-5767. 

Cars for Homes

Your car donation can help a family in Sumter build a house and give them hope for a better life! It is quick and easy to donate a car, RV, truck, boat, motorcycle, construction vehicle or other automobile. Your donation could be eligible for a tax deduction if you itemize.

Full Size Construction Trucks and Ice Machine

Habitat Charlotte is currently looking for full size pick-up trucks in good condition (F150 or equivalent) with a full or long bed (no short bed trucks please). We also can use a large box-type delivery truck.  It's quick and easy to donate a truck and your vehicle donation may be eligible for tax deduction purposes if you itemize. (Consult the IRS or your tax adviser for details.)

In addition, Sumter Habitat is seeking an ice machine for placement in our warehouse. The donated ice machine needs to hold at least 30 gallons. If you would like to donate either of these items, please contact Derek Burress at derek@habitatsumter.org or call (803) 775-5767.
