This year was Sumter Habitat for Humanity's first time participating in Giving Tuesday and it was a blast! Giving Tuesday is a global movement that takes place annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and is a day dedicated to giving back to ones community through service, donating, or getting involved in other fun ways.
There is no kinder act than helping someone less fortunate than yourself. Here at Sumter Habitat we believe that Every One can make a difference and you guys help us prove that this is true! You helped support Sumter Habitat in so many ways this Giving Tuesday, November 28th!
We want to thank everyone who was brave enough to take on our #30for30challenge! You helped celebrate the work this community has done in partnership with Sumter Habitat for the last 30 years and are making it possible for us to serve even more with each gift!
Didn't have a chance to participate during Giving Tuesday but want to accept the challenge?! There's still time! We have set a goal for $3,030 and aim to reach it by 12/31/2017. You can accept the challenge by donating $30, or any amount you feel led to, and then challenging 5 of your friends/family/coworkers/etc. to do the same!
anks to all who gave of their time by volunteering and to those who have signed up to volunteer with us. We are so inspired by your willingness to serve your neighbors! As our future homeowner Nadean says, "Through the hammering of nails and in each section being built, piece by piece, YOU are ringing in the bells to my future."
You helped lay the foundation that Nadean and her family will build a future on by helping build their home. Every one of you are special and we appreciate you.
Thanks to all who supported us by donating and/or shopping at our ReStore on Tuesday, November 28th. Your support allows us to serve more Sumter families in need year after year! Thank you!
Every one of you who helped participate in person or online by sharing your own stories of giving and what home means to you, is someone to be celebrated! We are blessed to have such a dedicated community who believes in a world where everyone deserves a decent place to call home. Thank YOU!
