We're thankful for so many wonderful things, especially our dedicated #volunteers! Meet Jason, a military man with a heart of gold!
Tell us about yourself:
"I've been in the United States Air Force for 20 years. I've been married to my beautiful wife for 18 years and we have been blessed with two great kids, a daughter (8), and a son (14)."
What do you do for fun?
"I love to spend time with my family, watch movies--especially the Marvel films, and I enjoy playing sports (basketball and football just to name a few)."
How did you become involved with Habitat for Humanity?
"I've been stationed at Shaw AFB a couple of times now and have had the opportunity to come out to the site over the years with my squadron. This time around, I just showed up by myself one day and kept coming. I try to come out as much as I can. I have had the opportunity to help build 3 Habitat homes now."
"I enjoy learning new things on the construction site. One day, I'll be a homeowner so these skills will be great for me to have. I also really enjoy getting to know the other volunteers who come out and give their time. Its really special to be able to work one-on-one with the families that will be moving into these homes and it's awesome!"
What is it like to be a volunteer here?
"Its an awesome experience to give back to the community and help out. Come on out and give it a try!"
Thank you Jason! We love you and appreciate all of your hard work!
